The Chinese Society of Precision Medicine (CSPM) was officially established on September 16, 2018, at the National Convention Center in Beijing, China. CSPM is recognized by the professional field and national media as a milestone in the field of precision medicine. Since then, precision medicine has developed rapidly across the country. 

Yan Sun, MD, PhD, the founder of China Medical Oncology, tenure professor of National Cancer Center, the member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, served as the Honorary Chairman. Robert M. Hoffman, PhD, a surgical professor at UCSD and a PDOX scientist, served as the Honorary Chairman of the Advisory Committee. Zhuan Hong, MD, PhD, renowned oncologist and national genetic expert, was elected as the Chairman.

The society comprises a distinguished leadership team, including 1 chairman, 2 honorary chairmen, 12 vice-chairmen, 39 committee members, 241 fellows, and 879 members, collectively representing the apex of expertise within the precision medicine field. These distinguished physicians and scientists hail from a prestigious array of national and international institutions, including 200 elite universities and 400 renowned hospitals, encompassing more than 40 provinces in China as well as seven other counties, namely the United States, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom, South Korea, and Japan. 

CSPM plays a pivotal role in formulating industry standards for precision medicine while engaging in cutting-edge research and clinical practices. Furthermore, CSPM is actively involved in genetic testing, healthcare big data analytics, and the utilization of medical artificial intelligence within the field of precision medicine. CSPM is committed to fostering collaboration among medicine, education, production and finance, with the overarching objective of advancing the development of precision medicine, Gene life technology and facilitating the transformation of high-tech research achievement into practical applications. 

Dr. Zhuan Hong was elected as the Chairman of CSPM Conference for five consecutive years and established the Society for Sharing Experiment Platform. On behalf of the National Society, Dr. Yan Sun awarded the gene laboratory named after Dr. Zhuan Hong. CSPM has greatly promoted the development of Chinese precision medicine with the China Precision Medicine Conference, the Chinese Society of Precision Medicine, and Hongzhuan Gene Laboratory.
